900x720_2049_77Malraux (1901-1976) is a French writer and political man, his interest for India is one of the deepest, the more continuous and diversified of French times (politics, arts, spirituality, everything was fascinating him). He is at the origin of the first Indo-French art exposition in Paris in the 60s, many sections of his books refers to his experiences in India. He was close to Nehru and he was even awarded with the Jawaharlal Nehru prize for international understanding in 1974.

As you probably know Le Corbusier is a French architect who worked a lot in India, his best known achievement is the city of Chandigarh, but he also built 4 famous building in Ahmedabad: Mill Owners’ Association Building, Villa Sarabhai, Villa Shodhan and Sanskar Kendra Museum.

This conference, held by Doctor Tame, aims to explain us more in details their relationship and their vision of India.
