On occasion of “Semaine de la Francophonie” 2021, the week to celebrate the French language, the official Swiss diplomatic representations in India, in cooperation with the Alliances Françaises India network, the Institut français India and University partners, have organized an exclusive virtual engagement with French-speaking Swiss author, Elisa Shua Dusapin.
Join us on Tuesday, 16 March 2021, from 6 PM to 8 PM (IST) for a bilingual reading from her novel and a creative writing workshop.
Elisa will also be in conversation with Dr. Siba Barkataki, followed by a Q&A session and audience interaction.
While the book reading is open to all, the creative writing workshop requires a good knowledge of the French language. Enclosed you will find an event poster with all the details.

Session 1:
600 pm: Opening remarks, H.E. Dr. Ralf Heckner, Ambassador of Switzerland to India and Bhutan
6.05 pm: Introduction of the author by the moderator Dr. Siba Barkataki
6.10 – 6.20 pm: Reading by the author (French)
6.20 – 6.30 pm : Reading by the moderator (English)
6.30 – 6.40 pm : Q n A with moderator and open interaction with audience: (audience will be requested to write questions in the chat box and the questions will then be shared with the moderator)
6.45 pm: End of session 1
Break of 5 min
Session 2:
6.50 pm : Creative Writing workshop in French only
The book reading could be attended by everyone, however, for the workshop level B1 and above is advised.
