This concert will feature “Choir” singing covering repertoire from Classical period to Romantic and popular songs. The choir has 20 people and will be conducted by Shantanu. The concert will also feature classical guitar and saxophone. This concert will be an interactive one in which there will be some audience participation at one point where we shall include the audience into the performance of Steve Reich’s Clapping music. The artists will also explain every piece in detail and how to perceive it, its history and facts surrounding it.

Shantanu Patel(22) is an aspiring pianist from India. He completed his two years of Music, specializing in piano performance under the tutelage of Dr. Adam Greig from KM Conservatory of Music in Chennai; where he was given ‘The Best Performer of the year’ award for three years in a row following from the Foundation year. He is recently finished his final year of BA(hons.) Music at Middlesex University in London studying piano under Laura O’Gorman.
Shantanu recently made his debut in concerto performance, playing Concerto in D minor K466 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart with The London Firebird Orchestra. He has also secured a place for Mmus program specializing in advanced piano playing at Royal Conservatoire of Scotland starting from September 2015 on a partial scholarship.
Parth Patel(23) is a pianist from Surendranagar. He studied piano at KM Music Conservatory, Chennai founded by Dr. A.R. Rahman under Brian Clark, Alexandra Minoza and Aron Tringali and was also given “The Best Performer of the Year” in his second year of study at KMMC. This year he will be freelancing and working on some projects and will complete his final year of BA(hons) Music at Middlesex University in 2016. His main interest is to collaborate with artists from different art forms and produce something innovative artistically. He is more inclined towards modern art and modern music.
The choir features students from SM Patel college of commerce, Xaviers college of arts and freelancing musicians.
