Alliance Française d’Ahmedabad – Baroda Annexe, a local association established in 2003, is a non-profit, non-partisan educational organization which promotes communications between different cultures. Since its establishment in Vadodara, AF has been working to promote French language and culture with local as well as international artists and their creations to the citizens of Vadodara. It has organized several cultural events, including international events and film screenings through its Ciné Club. Every year AF is teaching French to 250-300 students and professionals inclined to work for French speaking countries or French collaborated companies. Through CampusFrance, we provide opportunity for Indian students to apply in French Universities for higher studies.
As we all are aware, Vadodara city is known as the cultural capital of Gujarat and Alliance Française believes that every citizen should get equal opportunity to enjoy its culture, art, music and theatre.
Every year AF Baroda Annexe organises several cultural and pedagogical activities like Francophonie Day, Fête de la Musique, Rendezvous du Dimanche etc.
Our events are free and open for all. Because of this we always enjoy positive response from the mass, local newspapers, radio and news channels.
AF Baroda Annexe completed 10 years in Baroda city in 2013. During these 10 years, AF has strived to create a place for sharing the French culture and language. It has been a constant endeavour to make French language accessible to maximum people. AF has initiated many activities which would help the students gain knowledge of French language as well as the culture. Through its cultural activities, the city could witness many international events and music concerts.
